The HAT People: We Don't Want No Stinking Diseases

The Greenville News of Greenville, South Carolina ran a story about 131 of 286 “foreign” workers at a poultry plant testing positive for tuberculosis. Two of the workers had an active form of TB. That is a large number for a disease that was theoretically eradicated in this country years ago. It is also an alarming statistic. There have been similar stories coming out of Border States in recent years. The facts about the increase of diseases, which were uncommon in the US, have been suppressed for the most part by the MSM. We do not want to disparage the illegals by telling the American people uncomfortable truths.

It is difficult to imagine why Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina would be leading the fight to dole out amnesty on a mass scale given the danger to his constituents. I guess he expects to replace those who succumb to disease by importing new ones.

Next time you are in a restaurant and you watch a “foreign born” worker clearing a table, see them harvesting farm products or working in meat processing plants ask the question what are these companies doing to protect the health of their customers? Do they test their employees for communicable diseases? Are you being exposed to diseases so a company can employ cheaper labor? Are you exposing your children to new and terrible diseases from illegal immigrant children when you drop them off at school?

Well, not to worry. At least it cost less to have these jobs performed for you…
